If you do not have a connected vehicle, follow the steps below to manually update Android Auto on its openR link/ openR system.If your car is connected, you won't have to do anything. Updates are carried out remotely via FOTA (Firmware Over The Air).
preparation steps - at home
download updates
1. You'll need an empty 8GB USB-C drive formatted to FAT-32. Make sure the USB drive is empty. 

2. Download the update to your computer by clicking on the button below. 

3. Create a root folder in the drive. Name this folder "USB_UPDATE". Copy the downloaded .zip file into this folder, as is, without unzipping it.
next steps - in the car
updating may take up to 10 minutes
1. Get into your car. Start the vehicle, then plug in the USB drive.

2. The USB drive’s contents will automatically load.

3. Press the "Yes" button on the request update message.

4. Leave the USB drive plugged in. Updates are being installed automatically in the background. When it's finished, you'll be asked to activate the new version when you switch off your vehicle. 

5. When you restart your vehicle, you'll be notified that the update installation is complete.
